- Same week appointment times are opened each Monday, allowing patients to access the next available appointment time for their provider that week
- Same week booking has replaced the previous same day booking process. Same day bookings will continue to be offered pending there is space available
- If your provider is already at capacity for same day access, patients will be offered the next available appointment time, or directed to the after-hours clinics
- This process eliminates the need for patients to have to call the clinic each day to secure an appointment
- The traditional access booking allows you to pre-book your appointments in advance. There are some pre-booked appointment slots available – If you prefer to pre-book your appointments in advance, we have a set amount of slots available for advanced booking.
- We have 5 after-hours walk-in clinics a week available to rostered patients of the Family Health Team. Please check our locations and hours page for updated locations and time

Did You Know
When you are registered to a physician at Central Hastings Family Health Team and use a walk in clinic elsewhere the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care bills the doctor here for the visit? We strive to offer you every opportunity to get an appointment with your doctor or one within our team. Please refrain from using walk in clinics. If your concern is truly urgent, use an emergency department at a hospital which does not result in a Ministry of Health charge to the physician.
By respecting this request, you are assuring that we are kept aware of all your ongoing medical issues and that you will continue to have access to all the resources that our Family Health Team has to offer.
Have a Non-Urgent request or question for your provider? Online e-Requests are available for rostered CHFHT patients. Submit your request via the Ocean link found on our website by selecting your clinic location and Primary Care Provider. This service is secure and confidential and can help patients receive the guidance they need in a timely manner.
